Marwan Abado is a Palestinian singer, composer and oud player (oriental short-necked lute). Abado's music is based on the classical forms of Arabic music, TAQ `SIM, which is not subject to any temporal laws and is based on the inner impulses of the musician. Marwan Abado was born in 1967 to a Palestinian refugee family in Beirut, Lebanon. In the summer of 1985 he arrived in Vienna and took lessons from the Iraqi oud master Asim Chalabi. From 1987 he worked as a musician in Vienna - with performances all over Europe as well as in Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon, Cuba and Palestine.
