Guido Bayer was born in Bonn and trained at the Hamburg acting studio Frese. This was followed by engagements at various Hamburg theaters, including the Ernst-Deutsch Theater ("Jud Süß"), Altonaer Theater ("Die Feuerzangenbowle"), Kampnagel ("BotenBöserMär", Festival eigenarten), Thalia Theater ("La Divina Comedia"). He also performed his last play at international theater festivals in Colombia and South Korea. Further engagements followed at the summer theater in Bad Pyrmont ("Dangerous Liaisons", "Twelfth Night") and at the Reutlingen Theater (including "Michael Kohlhaas", "The 13th Victim", "The Righteous"). He also went on several guest tours through German-speaking countries at home and abroad. Guido Bayer lives and works as a freelance actor in Hamburg. He has had his own culinary reading since 2010.
